Privacy & safety

Take your time. Protect your information. Trust actions, not pressure.

Most people want a respectful connection, but online introductions still require judgment. These guidelines are designed to help you protect your privacy, notice warning signs and make safer decisions as a relationship develops.

Keep early conversations on the platform

Moving immediately to private phone numbers, messaging apps or social accounts can reduce the protections available inside the service. There is no prize for moving quickly. Stay where you feel comfortable until trust has had time to develop.

Protect sensitive information

Do not share passwords, one-time codes, banking details, card information, identity documents, exact home addresses or other sensitive records with someone you have only recently met. A genuine marriage prospect should respect reasonable privacy boundaries.

Never send money because of a new online relationship

Be especially cautious if someone asks for money, gift cards, crypto, investments, emergency travel costs, visa fees or financial help. Emotional urgency is a common pressure tactic. Stop and verify independently before taking any financial action.

Pay attention to consistency

One detail being wrong does not automatically prove bad intent, but repeated contradictions matter. Notice whether a person's age, location, family situation, work, photos and life story remain consistent over time. Ask normal follow-up questions and do not ignore persistent evasiveness.

Use identity and profile verification where available

Verification can reduce some risks, but it is not a guarantee of character, compatibility or future behavior. Treat it as one signal among many. Continue to use judgment and verify important claims independently when necessary.

Meet in a way that keeps you in control

For a first in-person meeting, choose a public place, arrange your own transportation and tell someone you trust where you are going. Keep your phone available, avoid becoming dependent on the other person for transport or accommodation, and leave if you feel uncomfortable.

Respect boundaries and consent

No user is entitled to another person's attention, personal information, photos, money or physical contact. Repeated pressure after someone says no is not respectful courtship. Block or report behavior that becomes threatening, coercive, sexually inappropriate or abusive.

Adults only

Find A Nikah is an adult marriage and matchmaking service. Anyone under 18 is not permitted to use matchmaking features. Suspected underage accounts or child-safety concerns should be reported promptly. See our Child Safety Standards for the full policy.

Report suspicious or harmful behavior

Use in-app reporting tools where available for scams, harassment, threats, impersonation, suspected minors, sexual exploitation or other serious concerns. You can also reach us through the official contact channel. If there is an immediate threat to someone's safety, contact local emergency services.

Marriage decisions deserve offline judgment too

An app can introduce people, but it cannot verify every aspect of someone's life or make a marriage decision for you. Take time, involve trusted people where appropriate to you, discuss practical compatibility and seek qualified legal, financial, medical or religious advice when the situation calls for it.
